Riverdale Grade School

Location: Portland, Oregon

Built to replace a 1920’s era building designed by noted architect, A.E. Doyle, the new Riverdale Grade School uses precast and brick to create an updated, yet classic look.

The brick is very close in color to that used in the original school, while the cream-colored, acid-etched precast provides a pleasing contrast. Precast was used at all openings and as an accent band below the roof. In all nearly 500 pieces of precast were used adding up to nearly 130 cubic yards.
